The cottage looks out over Smerwick Harbour and the fishing hamlet of BallyDavid,Taking in views of the Sleeping Giant, Three Sisters and Mount Eagle. Murrioch beach is 5 minutes walk away and Ballydavid harbour with coves and pubs, is within 20. Local shops and 2 fish restaurants are easily accessible.

The Historical remains of early Christian Churches; Gallarus Oretory, and Kilmalkedar Church are within comfortable walking distance.

Slea Head Drive is around 30 km in length and skirts the rugged extents of the dingle peninsular, offering up spectacular panoramic views of the cliffs islands and mountains of west Kerry. Slea Head provided the stunning backdrop for the Oscar winning film Ryans daughter (1970) . Along the way are scenic beaches, rock Formations and historical sites. You can visit the behive huts, take a boat to the Blasket Islands, walk along the cliffs and visit the many cafes and potterys en route. The drive ends back in dingle, passing O'Seas Pub and ventry strand.
